About the Official MED Users Group
The MED Users Group
(MUG) provides people who use MED a way of solving their
problems and keeping in touch with other users of the program, from v1 of MED
right up to the latest version of OctaMED. Membership is completely FREE of
charge, however a disk magazine, Total Irrelevance, is produced six times a
year, which members are asked, though it is not compulsory, to buy. These
cost £2.50 each and are available from SeaSoft Computing. Issues 1-3 are
only £1.50. The first five issues are available now. The club answers
problems if you send an SSAE and the MUG Collection contains several high
quality disks of sound samples and MUG members' Mods. A pick `n' Mix
section lets you choose which Mods you want and every issue a selection of
Mods are reviewed by TI's reviewer, Chris `The Raven' Wright. On top of
this, the magazine contains music, samples articles, letters, problems...
...and unfortunately, me with a regular series
of tutorials on everything from using MED Paths to better sound sampling!
If your appetite has been whetted, write to
Richard Bannister
, the club's
originator, editor of
Total Irrelevance
and altogether nice guy at...
THE OFFICIAL MED USERS GROUP,
6, Glevum Road,
Stratton St. Margaret,
SWINDON,
Wiltshire,
SN3 4AF.
ENGLAND.
... Asking for more details of MUG, and saying which MED version you use and
who sent you (that's me!). Please enclose an SSAE for your reply.
Total Irrelevance issues 1-4 are available from most good PD stockists.
See the contacts section for more details on SeaSoft Computing. Issues 5+
are only available from SeaSoft computing.
